Many Cities and Counties across the Nation continue to recognize the significant value of integrating history into the planning process.

The amount of capital allocated for projects in which historic preservation, re-adaptive use and historical public art is a dual investment towards both, community and economic development. Above all, these innovative approaches are the essential elements that provide our communities with a sense of community, a sense of place, a sense of identity and a sense of pride.

Jurisdictions in the Inland Empire are not the exception. From Temecula to Twentynine Palms, the celebration of history is richly imprinted on the built environment.

This year, the 3rd IES/APA Annual Historical Symposium will be focusing on historical projects making a difference in our communities. Our selected panel will address exemplary programs and strategies to successfully find history and put it where it truly belongs: in the future.
